I’m Francesca but I prefer Cesca. I’m from London and I lived in Edinburgh, Scotland, for four years. I am searching for a sense of complete independence and to establish who I am and what I want in life and soon I found myself in the sunny Mother City that is Cape Town. I came to SA because of the diverse culture and the opportunity to do lots of outdoor activities such as hiking, surfing, etc. In my spare time I enjoy Yoga, Reading and being an artist (yes I paint too).
What about Digital Marketing interests you?
Digital marketing is so important in the world we live in. With technology developing so rapidly it’s crucial to stay at the forefront and engage with people in the digital space. It has been amazing to see the direct implications of the curated strategies and I hope to learn more as I go along!
How did you come across Deeply Digital?
I applied for the job whilst still studying at university as the lure of Cape Town really drew me in!
How long have you been part of the Deeply Digital team for?
Nearly one month! I started in August 2018 – the time has flown by.
What did you do before joining the Deeply Digital team?
I just graduated from the University of Edinburgh studying English Literature and History of Art.
What have been the highlights of your time here so far?
Getting to know the lovely team and gaining some great experience from various people’s strengths.
Do you think there is room to grow in the company?
Definitely, every day is a new opportunity to learn more and development skills, independently and from others.
How do you find the work environment and the team you work with?
I love the team! Everyone is super supportive and having moved from overseas it is so great to be warmly welcomed and feel at home.
Is there anything that you’ve learnt at Deeply Digital that stands out?
The drive to do better, even if you make mistakes; own up, accept responsibility and then do your utmost to rectify the situation. I think honesty is a really important value to the team and knowing that mistakes are inevitable is less daunting when trying new things and testing new strategies.
What is your favourite social media platform and why?
Definitely Instagram as it is the one I personally use the most. Although the disingenuous nature of some accounts upsets me, I think it is a very forward thinking, fun platform which allows you to share your life with others without coming across as boastful.
