I was born and raised in Cape Town and am a lover of the great outdoors. I’ve travelled extensively but not as much as I would like – so I’m always planning my next adventure!
What about Digital Marketing interests you?
It’s an exciting and fast-paced environment that’s constantly changing and evolving. I’m particularly interested in SEO.
How did you come across Deeply Digital?
I was looking for full-time employment after freelancing for a year and came across a Deeply Digital job posting on Bizcommunity. Having worked on my own terms for a while, I was quite picky about the type of environment I wanted to work in and Deeply Digital really stood out for me for its company culture and opportunities for growth.
How long have you been part of the Deeply Digital team for?
I have been here since the end of February.
What did you do before joining the Deeply Digital team?
I was a freelance writer and social media manager for a number of clients (from an Expo stand designer to an online travel company). Before that, I worked as an assistant editor and managing editor on a variety of client magazines in lifestyle and business categories.
What have been the highlights of your time here so far?
Watching my colleague Josh play in his band at Kirstenbosch Botanical gardens with the rest of the company. And just the general antics around the office. The team dynamic is really fun!
Do you think there is room to grow in the company?
Definitely! I have already been promoted…
How do you find the work environment and the team you work with?
We work hard and play hard. I’m friends with everyone on my team and we socialise together after work. It’s a dynamic environment where we are encouraged to grow, share knowledge and learn from our mistakes.
Is there anything that you’ve learnt at Deeply Digital that stands out?
To own your mistakes. Nobody succeeds without making mistakes along the way. It’s how you handle the mistakes that make the difference.
What is your favourite social media platform and why?
Instagram because a picture says a thousand words. Plus, it’s an innovative platform that I really enjoy using.
