I’m Brad and it’s a complicated story, but I grew up in Nelspruit, moved to Gauteng and then moved to Cape Town a few years ago. I’m a big fan of cricket and football. I love to fish, hike and I am planning on improving my surfing. I like to draw and make bad jokes in my free time.
What about Digital Marketing interests you?
Digital Marketing is undoubtedly the course that marketing is set to follow into the future. I think the ability to optimise a part of our lives to suit the needs of a client is what attracts me the most. We are all exposed to some form of digital marketing on a daily basis and I think seeing what I do in action as well as its constantly evolving nature are what keep it engaging and exciting to me.
How did you come across Deeply Digital?
I was doing some proactive engagement in a Facebook Community Group for my previous employer and they were advertising a job. I decided to apply and the rest is history.
How long have you been part of the Deeply Digital team for?
I joined in May 2018. It definitely feels like it’s been longer though.
What did you do before joining the Deeply Digital team?
I worked as a marketer in a large corporate for 4 years, have experience in managing PR accounts and in marketing management of two retail centres.
What have been the highlights of your time here so far?
I think the biggest highlight for me has been growing with the team and learning about each of them. I’ve had others such as putting together strategies that I’ve been super proud of and seeing content I’ve created perform above expectations, but my favourites are of the team and the enjoyment we’ve had in the office.
Do you think there is room to grow in the company?
Definitely. I think one of the biggest factors is that the team and leadership of Deeply Digital are interested in what areas you’d like to develop and make an effort to present you with opportunities to do exactly that. In the time I’ve been at deeply Digital our team has grown so fast and with that, there are definite growth opportunities that come with it.
How do you find the work environment and the team you work with?
The team is what makes Deeply Digital different from any place I’ve ever worked. The team is less colleagues and more friends. It is a truly amazing team culture and it makes you excited to come to work every day. The work environment is fantastic, it’s fun but we get the job done. The team ALWAYS have your back and you’re encouraged to learn constantly.
Is there anything that you’ve learnt at Deeply Digital that stands out?
I think one of the things that stands out to me is how flexible and adaptable digital marketing can be. Working with a variety of clients has allowed me to really enjoy that aspect, no two clients or strategies are the same.
What is your favourite social media platform and why?
Most probably Twitter or Instagram. Twitter because it is so much fun and it’s so easy to create communities and to learn from people. Instagram because it is so visual and unleashes the artist or photographer in so many people. It’s made me more creative.
